Laura Kutner Tokarski

Laura was born and raised in Portland, OR. She earned her BA in Anthropology and Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and shortly after graduation joined the Peace Corps in Guatemala, where she lived from 2007-2010.

Upon her return to the US, she started Trash for Peace, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, while earning her Master’s in Public Administration from Portland State University. She is currently the Executive Director of Trash for Peace and an ABE-GED Instructor at Mt. Hood Community College.
