December 15 (essay submission deadline)
The Trust for Sustainable Living is pleased to invite schoolchildren (ages 7-17) around the world to tell us their best ideas for conserving the world’s oceans and marine resources. One overall Grand Prize Winner (plus teacher and parent) will receive a free trip to the TSL International Schools Debates in the Seychelles in early July 2018, while the top essays will receive special recognition as Finalists or Honourable Mentions. All participants are encouraged to attend the debates, which are a wonderful learning opportunity for children, teachers and parents alike (see highlights from the previous competition on climate action here). The 2018 essay competition and debate will focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goal #14.
