Happy July! Best wishes for a happy Independence Day weekend. May it also be an opportunity for us to reflect on our Interdependence.
We received many quality applications to serve on the GPSEN Board. Thank you for all of the interest in supporting sustainability education in the region. We will announce our new Board Members in our mid-July newsletter, after our next Board meeting.
We are also pleased to announce our new GPSEN Fellows program. In addition to offering learning opportunities through internships, the Fellowship program will help advance research and curriculum development in the region. Please welcome Neeraja Havaligi, formerly with UNDP and FAO, specializing in agro-biodiversity and genetic diversity conservation in farming systems and climate change, and Frank Granshaw, a retired PCC and PSU geology professor, specializing in glacial geomorphology, climate science and geoscience education. If you are interested in becoming a Fellow, please let us know.
Given that summer time is generally quieter in the education world, you will see that we are a little lighter on events this month. May this be a time of rejuvenation and adventure in the great outdoors for all!
